Here's a little bit of fanart I got the urge to do today instead of doing my homework (which needs done badly). I've never finished this game, and I think Terra is not my favorite character, but i do love me those tights. The colors are super desaturated on my laptop monitor, hopefully they're warmer when you are looking at it.

been awhile

heylo everyone, it's been awhile. i haven't done too much home art lately, but i've been doing some more coffee shop drawing since i started up a sketch group here in boston. just thought i'd post a few things here and there that i've done. The first is and art exchange piece for an art exchange group i used to belong to called the private exchange, this character's name is roman and she belongs to feralgrinn, but the drawing is done by me. the next are some coffee shop and dr. sketchy's burlesque figure drawing sketches that i liked.

A few images I've done recently, i'm going to boston comicon this weekend, hopefully i'll have a good response! The first one is abe and hellboy as sherlock holmes at watson. i really enjoy hellboy in a bowtie and bowler hat hehe. then there's the green latern abusing his powers to kill mosquitos and everyone's favorite minecraft creature doin a little creepin. I think it'd be even more terrifying if creepers did have creeper glasses and pedostaches before they exploded and killed you.

Now that i'm unemployed hopefully i'll get more drawing done! The first is for a weekly (sorta) art blog that i am doing with my friend ami, the theme was "Traveling" and it features me in typical traveling chaos fashion. Refining the sketch seemed to make it loose something, so here it is in all it's sketchy glory. The second, which isn't very good :/ is my first attempt at a live digital painting of a person i was creepily watching in starbucks. hopefully future paintings will be much better and we'll see progress! :D

Just a few pictures, I've been pretty busy lately with work/freelance but here are a few things I've recently done/been meaning to post. The first seems to be what would happen if Julie Shin and I became one person and got caught in a rainstorm, the second are my favorite random people I've ever seen. This handsome, though trashy looking scruffy young man with his wifebeater, aviator sunglasses and long cigarette (he would have fit in perfectly in the movie Grease) who I saw with a very tall and incredibly skinny girl (i mistook her for a man at first) wearing a long flowing tie-dye dress that had a neck that plunged all the way to her belly button. They were definitely the weirdest couple of people I've seen together at once. The last are a group of knitters I saw at Mr. Crepe in Davis square, I've seen several different knitting boys in Davis so far.

I've been so busy lately! I started an internship last month so having to rush move to boston and work a 9-5 job has impacted my art making time! But here are a few things : ) enjoy

Here's a drawing I did back at the end of senior year for our senior show. Its of the sleepiest members of our graduating class, from the left, Emily, Lindsey O, Jiyoung, Jin, Mike R, Juan, Gigi and Lindsey L.

And here is my latest piece I did for drawergeeks, this on was a Frankenstein theme. sadly I didn't have time to color it, but I think it's cute none the less

And here is an illustration of the famous 20s star Josephine Baker. She was very sassy and you should look her up. This is/was for a calendar of badass women that I've been working on with my friends Dawn and Ben.

I am now a member of DrawerGeeks www.drawergeeks.com and here are my last two entries : ) the themes were the incredibles and the punisher... as for an explanation as to why he's wearing a sailor scout outfit...whenever i hear anything about punishing I think of sailor moon's famous line she would always say when attacking baddies "In the name of the moon I will punish you" and that's how that happened.

Been busy with lighting/texturing/compositing my thesis, I did this while waiting for my renders to finish. I used to draw a lot of mermaids when I was little, I lovvveeeddd sea creatures and wanted to be a marine biologist (a marine biologist that just drew fish all day). I also love turtles. hahaha

: ) xmas/channukuh present for my friend, it's his four fav superheroes as a rock band. That's Booster Gold on vocals, Aquaman on guitar, Martian Manhunter on bass, and blue beetle on drums. The guitars are based off of Fender guitars, and the drums are basically ludwig drums. Drawing instruments is really hard!!

: ) heres my finished painting for drawing for animators class, its due today and I'm pleased with it. the bubbles were a pain...but in the end I think they came out okay. I really like the background, not as fond of the characters though. I am slightly amused that when I started this I wanted to do a lineless painting...but ended up with this simple flat colors cel shaded look, but I like it, so its okay!
